In a Pathlight survey, after you add your questions, you can add a number of settings at a survey level. These are Settings, Targeting, Channels, Translations, and Integrations. In this article, we will show all options under Targeting.

This is found on the left-hand side column in the survey editor. Once you click on Targeting, the menu with the available options for customizations will open underneath this section.

The first options in the menu refer to who you want to target with this Pathlight survey; you can choose between new customers, returning customers, or all customers. Note that, as the message at the top of this menu says, this survey will only be shown to customers who meet all of the conditions you set below.

The next section will exclude or include customers that have a certain customer tag or orders that have a specific tag. In order to do so, you need to write the tag in the appropriate section and choose if you want to include or exclude this cohort of customers by using the toggle.

You can also choose the Location to include or exclude customers from seeing this survey. You can add a city, province, state or country in the input underneath it and use the toggle to either include or exclude them.

The last filtering system refers to the product purchased, order, or lifetime value. Under Purchased products to include/exclude, you can use the Add products button to add the number of products in your store that, when bought, will trigger showing this survey post purchase. Again, you can use the toggle to either include or exclude the products.

The last 2 options refer to the order or customer lifetime value you want to target. You can use the dropdown menu to use any of the operators greater than or less than any specific value you input in your store's currency, and this is combined with the purchased products you've just selected. If the order value containing the products selected fits the restrictions you've set, this survey will be shown. The same type or rule can be used to exclude them and prevent this survey from appearing if they fall within the selected range. The same goes for the lifetime value option below.

Note that they are an OR type of rule, meaning all have to be true at the same time.

Make sure to always save your progress using the top menu bar, which shows whenever a change is made.
